After 12 years in the NFL and 15 orthopedic surgeries, Ron wanted to live his life fishing and playing with his daughter. He turned to the specialists at St. Vincent Healthcare. “I felt that when I was there, I was the only patient,” says Ron, who is now enjoying life after football.

SCL Health Community Hospitals

Workers help construct the first of four SCL Health Community Hospitals planned for the Denver metro area through a joint-venture partnership with Emerus Holdings Inc. Construction began in 2014, and the hospital, located in Westminster, Colorado, is expected to open in late 2015. The three other hospitals are scheduled to open in 2016 in southwest Denver, Aurora and Northglenn.

Multidisciplinary rounding on the surgical floor has helped decrease length of stay and observation time. Discharge Navigators assist in the process, saving dollars and resources.

System Services

Through improved processes, Hospital Billing & Claims reduced claims on hold by almost $60 million to help secure payments more quickly. Accounts payable was able to reduce its cost per transaction by 34 percent and save $450,000 annually.
